Getting through winter successfully

Often referred to as ‘the winter blues’, it’s not that uncommon to feel average or a bit ‘blah’ over the winter months.

Often referred to as ‘the winter blues’, it’s not that uncommon to feel average or a bit ‘blah’ over the winter months. While this year has flown by, it still seems ages until the warm sun will be out, days will be longer and we can fully enjoy the outdoors again. It’s important to use this time to the fullest, rather than closing yourself off to people, binging on Netflix and becoming best mates with your Uber Eats driver. Here’s some no-stress ways to feel better and beat winter at its own game.

Get outside

With many of us working from home now, it can be very tempting to stay in your pjs or trackies and forget the world outside. Start your day by opening the blinds or curtains and letting the sunshine in. At home or at the office, take a break from your computer screen at lunchtime and get outside. Do a brisk walk around the block, go a little bit further to buy your lunch or just take your next phone call outside and breathe the fresh air in.
